Rainbow's End

"The Stratosphere"we agreed as we were strolling out of the buzzing arcade center at Rainbow's End.
It was a scorching hot Thursday morning and we had finally finished racing each other down  sharp cornered scorpion carts track. As we entered the crowded line we came across Menorah and Caitlin.
"So are you guys up to going upside down on the Stratosphere?"I asked.
Menorah was just going to answer when a muffled voice exclaimed that the less extreme ride was going to proceed.A short perky woman then popped out of the controllers room accompanied with a metal tube that measured what height you were to see if you qualified to the fear full ride.
Emma,Lauren,Sophia and I all gleefully passed the employee and settled down in a well fitting seat lined in a row. WHIR  suddenly the floor slowly dropped leaving our dangling off the edge of the seat. The UFO shaped disc started to spin and swing as if it was a chime in a grandfather clock.
A 90 degree angle was enough for me and I'm glad I took a detour into the less extreme line.
The sun smiled back at me when we were  setting a pace so we could get to the Invader.

Today Room1 went to the International Terminal of Auckland Airport.
First we split into groups and drove along the motorway towards the airport.Soon after we arrived we were welcome by our tour guide Kandee . We were led into a presentation room with fancy business-like chairs. After everyone had fiddled and adjusted the chairs to their liking Kandee started the presentation of the different jobs that complete the airport.Next we were guided up four floors to the lookout area where we explored the runway. The food court was definitely the buzz for the whole of room 1. As we arrived back at school a game of cricket concluded our trip.

the importance of ag day animals

ag day is brookby school's major community event of the year.every child at brookby school is expected to raise an animal for this event.

raising an animal is important because......

it is educational for students who do not have any experience raising an animal or a pet of any sort,it also  gives them a chance to learn about the behaviour of the animal and write about it.

it gives the student a chance to grow a friendship or a relationship with animal meaning that they can have companionship with each other.

another reason is because the child will learn to have a responsibility for feeding and cleaning the animal.

having an ag day animal gives children an opportunity to look after a real living creature.

i am partnered with  tayla and our myth is about the patterns on the moon when a mortal bunny makes friends with the immortal moon and the wants to be with her friend so she takes up bunny and creates a pattern on the moon of her friend and the bunny's Easter eggs become the stars
